The Olympic Torch will pass by TLA on February 11^th early in the morning, and all TLA students are encouraged to attend this historic event in anticipation of the upcoming games. Due to the rolling road closures, Students should arrive before 8:00 AM at the rear of the school in order to get into class groups. Following that, intermediate grades four through seven will walk in their class groups down to Mackin Park accompanied by teachers and volunteer parents to attend the local celebrations in honour of the games. They will return to school in time for third period classes. Students are encouraged to bring Canadian flags, banners, and Olympic paraphernalia to cheer on the flame as it passes our school.
