A heartfelt thank you to all of our TLA families, staff and friends for your prompt generosity to our appeal for funds to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. To date our TLA appeal has reached $3400.00 and is climbing by the day. Yesterday, the Familia Christi Foundation informed us that all our donations will be matched dollar for dollar by the Canadian government, so your contributions are worth a total of $7800.00 at this time.

We anticipate our TLA/Haiti project will involve the reconstruction of a school severely damaged by the quake. We are awaiting photos and more information to confirm this.

Although we had initially said that our deadline was to be today, because our project is not of the food or medical variety for immediate application, Foundation director Mrs. Ann Marie Sweeney has given us an extension for our donations to the end of next week.
